"Peter Arthur's" began life as a paint stripping business in 1986. Still owned and run by Peter Arthur Jones, it opened in response to the interior tastes of the time.

Peter Arthur's, then trading as North Wales Paint Stripping, prospered and so moved to larger premises. We opened a pine furniture showroom, responding to the appetite for original Victorian pine doors and furniture. This grew until it was necessary to venture into making furniture from reclaimed pine.

Our furniture range is reasonably priced and covers a wide range of furniture - Welsh dressers, chests of drawers, wardrobes, etc. All of our furniture is made from antique reclaimed pine. It is all finished by hand by us.

It was an interest in old property that led to another aspect of Peter Arthur's - architectural salvage. We have streamlined this side of the business and now sell a selection of architectural and unusual items.

Customers restoring Victorian properties in the area, stripping their doors and furnishing their interiors with antique pine, began asking for Victorian fireplaces. In response to this demand, in 1990 we began selling a variety of Victorian fireplaces in cast iron, wood, stone and marble. We now travel the length and breadth of Wales sourcing these fireplaces.

We continue with the paint stripping service and offer free pick-up and delivery to customers living locally.
